Serenity / Rapier PvP Build

Season 8

Serenity might be a bitch to get.. but dam is it one overpowered weapon. This melee build has busted healing, great mobility, but most importantly it has big ol dick damage. One of my favorite builds just in time for the new OPR map!

Check out a video guide with gameplay for this build!

Equipment / Attributes

DEX is the way to go here, with 100 STR giving the Greatsword excellent heavy attack damage. Rapier also benefits from the STR here since it will boost physical damage too. I always like 50 FOC and 150+ CON for PvP builds, especially since this build is packed with healing power!

Serenity is amazing with a gem slot since you can put an opal or runeglass DOT + opal on it to maximize it’s damage. You can always go for another perk here if you prefer.

The rapier should have either Leaching Flurry or Omnidirectional Evade, with Penetrating Backstab / Plagued Crits for the final two perks. Ideally the rapier would also have a runeglass DOT with an opal too but I’m just to darn poor!

The armor perks to aim for are Refreshing / Freedom / Shirking Heals. You will also want to run at least one hasted vigor perk, and either Omnidirectional Evade or Leaching Flurry depending on what perk you have on the Rapier. Shirking energy is great on the legs if you run this in light armor!

The Greatsword can easily reach empower cap, but the rapier benefits a ton from the Tumblers Feet wraps since it cannot hit empower cap without them! Winged Leather shoes are also a good option here, and even the new Vampire’s Vestments for more life steal!

The jewelry is perfect, I really like purifying heart on the ring, but you could always run another perk here of your choosing.

Use the best food you can find, honing stones, and mana pots for that healthy toast perk! I prefer Infused Regeneration potions since they give the most healing out of all your choices in PvP.

Active Skills

Greatsword Skills

Cross Cut is super strong and I love to cancel it after the second cut, making it a very fast and hard hitting move that you can easily apply pressure with.

Steadfast Strike is great for the stamina sustain, healing, and reach it has. You can also run Calamity Counter here (I would recommend getting the energizing counter perk on your armor if you do!)

Relentless Rush as always is great for closing distance and can deal a ton of damage too! The Relentless Freedom perk is a great choice on your armor as well!

The passives are mostly focused on dealing more damage and cooldown reduction, with a good amount of healing mixed in!

Rapier Skills

My favorite Rapier tree right now, perfectly balanced for offense and defense.

You need Leaching Flurry for this setup however! The rapier works well as a fast damage dealing while also providing excellent survival utility.

The passives are mostly focused on stamina sustain / cooldown reduction.
