Finisher / Fire Staff PvP Build
Season 10
Big boy AOE damage, mobility and healing power. This build does it all and does it well. I have personally played this build more than any other, so I highly recommend it!
Check out a video guide with gameplay for this build!
Equipment / Attributes
Thanks to Fire Staff scaling from DEX as well, this build is even better in season 10. You can always run more CON if you want, I would recommend taking point out of INT if you decide to.
For my finisher I slotted both Omni-directional Evade and a Thrust Harnessing charm. This build stacks Thrust and Fire damage.
The Fire staff is great, doubling up on the old and new empowering fireball is the goal here. If you don’t have access to a staff with the old empowering fireball, I would recommend a Plagued Crits, Keen Speed, Gem slot, and 2 skill slot fire staff. This can be farmed at the tower of the sun.
Shirking energy, vital synergy and life stealer’s draught are all infix perks that are super great and I highly recommend you try to get!
Keenly Empowered and Keenly Jagged charms now affect both weapons and can be slotted on your armor / jewelry as well. Both of these charms are a MUST HAVE and should be prioritized. The only defensive charm you should prioritize over Shirking Heals is one slot of Hasted Vigor and maybe Keenly Empowered.
I have the old Leaching flurry perk on this build, I would recommend the old perk since the invulnerability is so useful!
This build stacks both thrust and fire damage through the Thrust Harnessing charms and Ignited Runeglass. Both damage types sit at 63% empower fully buffed! This is the reason the build can hit so dam hard!
The Tumbler Feetwraps are huge for this build. They give us empower and fortify while healing, but the shirking energy perk they have STACKS with the ones on our legs. This is huge for stamina sustain!
Endless Thirst is also great for the empower is gives!
Use the best food you can find, Desert Sunrise, and Honing Stones. The two potions of choice for this build are the Regeneration and Burst Regeneration potions since they give the most healing value.
Active Skills
Rapier Skills
Thanks to leaching flurry, this skill gives us a moment of invulnerability and heals! This makes flurry the perfect skill for trading with anything in melee range and coming out on top.
Evade is the bread and butter of rapier, you can use it for attacking, defending, and so much more! Evade will cancel any other animation so it has a very high skill cap!
Fleche is the gap closer, for attacking or escaping. This skill can do quite a lot of damage if you manage to time the backstab!
Fire Staff Skills
Thanks to the double Empowering fire Ball perks this skill does a lot of damage. It’s also a large AOE making it perfect for finishing an escaping foe!
Incinerate is fantastic because it gives you the ability to stop an opponent as they come towards you. The damage is OK, but it’s the utility this skill provides that makes it so valuable.
Burnout is a fantastic gap closer for attacking or escaping. The double hit skill shot can do huge burst damage but takes some practice to line up right.
