Inferno / Great Axe PvP Build

I stuffed as many illegal perk combos into a build as I could and this was the result.. a refreshing monster build with crazy mobility! This build can work with any weapon combo too!

Equipment / Attributes

 

This is primarily a STR build but I highly recommend at least 50 INT for that inferno damage! You can always take some points out of STR and put them into CON if you want to be more durable.

Inferno has the much needed keenly jagged and keenly empowered charms. I went with slash harnessing as well to balance out the empower of this build between the two weapons. This build also has empowering fireball 1 and 2 making the inferno fireball actually good damage!

The Great Axe would ideally be Plagued Crits and Trenchant Strikes with the gem slot and two skill slots.

Vital synergy and life stealer’s draught come with the artifact nimble coat, I also recommend shirking energy on the legs!

Keenly Empowered and Keenly Jagged charms now affect both weapons and can be slotted on your armor / jewelry as well. Both of these charms are a MUST HAVE and should be prioritized. The only defensive charm you should prioritize over Shirking Heals is one slot of Hasted Vigor and maybe Keenly Empowered. I also doubled up on the hasted vigor 1 and 2 perks for this build!

This build sits at around 44% empower with both fire and slash damage. That’s the reason for the mix of fire damage runeglass with slash harnessing.

With the nimble coat and the old refreshing perks this build sits at around 34% cooldown reduction!

I didn't like any artifact jewelry for this build.. you can use one if you like!

Use the best food you can find, Desert Sunrise, and Honing Stones. The two potions of choice for this build are the Regeneration and Burst Regeneration potions since they give the most healing value.

Great Axe Skills

Execute hits hard as fuck. It will almost always finish an opponent at 30% or less health. Mending execute is huge for this build since it can give us a MASSIVE heal on big execute hits!

I really like reap because it heals you, and the damage is pretty good too. The reach this skill has makes it perfect for pulling in those kitey ranged players!

With the Intangible Charge perk this skill can pass through opponents! That is a huge deal for escaping body blocks or bad situations. Not to mention this skill can hit really hard if you travel some distance with it..

 
 
 

Fire Staff Skills

Thanks to the double Empowering fire Ball perks this skill does a lot of damage. It’s also a large AOE making it perfect for finishing an escaping foe!

Incinerate is fantastic because it gives you the ability to stop an opponent as they come towards you. The damage is OK, but it’s the utility this skill provides that makes it so valuable.

Burnout is a fantastic gap closer for attacking or escaping. The double hit skill shot can do huge burst damage but takes some practice to line up right.
