Crescent’s Wave / Musket PvP Build
Season 9
Crescent’s Wave is the perfect Greatsword to pair with musket. This build has stupid high damage with both weapons and an insane amount of damage pierce. Nothing is safe against a build like this.

Equipment / Attributes
Ok, the stat spread looks super weird. 100 STR and 350 DEX is fantastic for Greatsword damage, but since Crescent’s Wave actual wave attack deals arcane damage this weapon benefits a ton from going for 150 INT. The 200 INT is so we can get mana back on crit, allowing this build to literally spam waves at people as long as it’s connecting with something. If you want to run 100 CON, a fully maxed out 725 version of this build could hit those stat points with 100 STR, 350 DEX and 150 INT!
For the Cresent’’s Wave artifact I went with a gem setting as my perk of choice. This allows you to slot an elemental gem on the weapon so it can benefit even more from the INT investment. Ideally this build would be all arcane damage, but the runeglass is CRAZY expensive. So feel free to go for an element of choice like I did! (nature).
The Syncretic Musket is a perfect fit for a build like this, ideally it would be 725 GS but I don’t have a musket like that! Attunement and Keenly Jagged are going to give huge damage boosts, the 3rd perk is really up to you.
My gear is simple, Refreshing + Shirking Heals. For the third perk I have Vital Synergy, Hasted Vigor, and Shirking energy with Crippling Powder Burn as the flex spot. Relentless Freedom would be a great perk to have too!
Ideally this build would be all arcane damage, but since that’s a bit too pricey I went with nature damage on the runeglass / ring. You only loose out on a little bit of the wave’s damage by doing this!
The jewelry is perfect, with the secret healing tech from Endless Thirst being fantastic for keeping this build topped up on health as long as your switching between two different healing potions.
Use the best food you can find, Desert Sunrise, and Honing Stones. The two potions of choice for this build are the Regeneration and Burst Regeneration potions since they give the most healing value.
Active Skills
Greatsword Skills
Cross cut can do crazy damage really fast if you cancel the first two swings with a dodge roll. I almost never let this skill play out fully since the final swing is very slow.
Steadfast Strike is perfect for a quick stagger and some burst damage / healing. I also really like how much reach this skill has!
The gap closer is great for getting on top of opponents or escaping especially since it lets you move through enemies. The damage from this skill is really great too!
Musket Skills
Power shot is a simple, hard hitting shot. On this build it hits especially hard!
Powder Burn is great for applying the burn DOT to opponents so you can buff your power shot afterwards. With Crippling Powder Burn it even adds utility!
Traps are nasty, if anyone steps in them you can punish them for crazy huge damage while healing up with 100% life steal. Accelerating Traps gives you a huge speed boost that nearly gets you to the haste cap with the musket dodge roll.
