Inferno / Rapier PvP Build

Season 9

A classic build that I have played since beta, and it's strong as ****. This build has crazy good mobility, survivability and damage. Add in the Djinn's headwrap to make this setup immune to DOTs and it's perfect for any type of PvP but excels at solo gameplay! One of my favorite builds to play, I hope you all enjoy!

Check out a video guide with gameplay for this build!

Equipment / Attributes

This is mostly and INT based build, but I do have 100 points into DEX to make sure the rapier can still do great damage! You can also run 250 INT and put the extra points into CON for more durability.

The Inferno has empowering fireball as the final perk, you can always run something else if you want but I really like the fireball perk! An opal Runeglass with the fire DOT is the way to go for the gem.

The Lucky Narwhal tusk is the perfect weapon for this build since it’s a fantastic damage rapier and is quite easy to get to 725. The gem is a Ruby with Ignited Runeglass.

My gear is simple, Refreshing + Shirking Heals. For the third perk I have Vital Synergy, Hasted Vigor, and Shirking energy. Leaching Flurry is a MUST HAVE perk for this build!

The Djinn’s Headwrap is so strong. The artifact alone makes you take significantly less damage over time while also lowering disease duration on you. This makes it onw of the best all around artifacts you can use in PvP.

The Runeglass on your armor should all be fire damage.

The jewelry is perfect. The secret healing tech from Endless Thirst is fantastic for keeping this build topped up on health as long as your switching between two different healing potions.

Use the best food you can find, Desert Sunrise, and Honing Stones. The two potions of choice for this build are the Regeneration and Burst Regeneration potions since they give the most healing value.

Active Skills

Rapier Skills

Thanks to leaching flurry, this skill gives us a moment of invulnerability and heals! This makes flurry the perfect skill for trading with anything in melee range and coming out on top.

Evade is the bread and butter of rapier, you can use it for attacking, defending, and so much more! Evade will cancel any other animation so it has a very high skill cap!

Fleche is the gap closer, for attacking or escaping. This skill can do quite a lot of damage if you manage to time the backstab!

Fire Staff Skills

Fire ball is that big burst move for fire staff. The AOE blast makes it perfect for hitting targets easily while also applying a DOT.

Incinerate is a personal favorite of mine, the GIRT it gives plus the stagger lets you trade with tons of moves and come out on top. The AOE lingers for a moment as well giving this move a deceptive delay that opponents rush into early.

Burnout not only is fantastic as a gap closer, but it can do some serious damage itself.

Since this is a STR based fire staff build the DOTs are very weak, so having Backdraft as a passive is a MUST to turn those weak DOTs into big burst!
